On My Wishlist (14)
On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It's where we list all the books we desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. It's also an event that you can join in with too - Mr Linky is always at the ready for you to link your own 'On My Wishlist' post. If you want to know more click here.
In the Dark of Dreams by Marjorie M Liu:
Jenny is no stranger to magic -- she is a child of covert organizations that specialize in the arcane and mysterious: shape-shifters, magic-makers, psychics, and monsters out of legend. And yet, she is utterly ordinary, one of the few members of her family without any “gift” to speak of.
Except for one thing. A secret she has carried from childhood: an encounter with an extraordinary boy, born from the sea. And so begins a lifelong obsession, a love affair with the ocean -- and a search for that magical boy she lost so many years before. Until she finds him and discovers that together they must save the world...or drown with it.
My Soul to Steal by Rachel Vincent:
YOU WANT MY SOUL AND MY BOYFRIEND?
Trying to work things out with Nash—her maybe boyfriend—is hard enough for Kaylee Cavanaugh. She can’t just pretend nothing happened. But “complicated” doesn’t even begin to describe their relationship when his ex-girlfriend transfers to their school, determined to take Nash back.
See, Sabine isn’t just an ordinary girl. She’s a mara, the living personification of a nightmare. She can read people’s fears—and craft them into nightmares while her victims sleep. Feeding from human fear is how she survives.
And Sabine isn’t above scaring Kaylee and the entire school to death to get whatever—and whoever—she wants.
I DON’T THINK SO.
Demon From the Dark by Kresley Cole:
A dangerous demon she can't resist...
Malkom Slaine: tormented by his sordid past and racked by vampiric hungers, he's pushed to the brink by the green-eyed beauty under his guard.
A maddening witch he aches to claim...
Carrow Graie: hiding her own sorrows, she lives only for the next party or prank. Until she meets a tortured warrior worth saving.
Trapped together in a savage prison...
For them to survive, Malkom must unleash both the demon and vampire inside him. When he becomes the nightmare his own people feared, will he lose the woman he craves body and soul?
