Giveaway details are after the review, feel free to skip the review to avoid spoilers!

Bargains and Betrayals:
Locked away at Pecan Place, Jessie finds her situation to be even more dangerous than she feared. While she struggles to maintain her sanity and discover answers about the group that seems less and less like any legitimate government agency, Pietr fights to keep their relationship alive. But very aware that his mother’s time is running out, Pietr makes a deal he doesn’t dare tell Jessie about. Because the deal Pietr’s made could mean the death of far more than his tenuous relationship with the girl he loves.

Shannon Delany's werewolf series is becoming even more intriguing as we see more romance, Russian Mafia and secret government agencies. This book twists and turns, keeping you in constant suspense as you turn page after page. The beginning did start off a bit slow for me, but that quickly changed into heart-racing non-stop action. Shannon deals with some pretty serious subject matter in this story as well, and in my opinion she handled them nicely. I love watching as the characters grow throughout the books, each addition brings out new developments that adds depth to the individual story as well as the overall story arc. The ending will definitely leave you

To save Pietr from becoming seriously injured, Jessie allows herself to be taken to Pecan Place, a home for the mentally unstable. But after just a few days in their care, Jessie discovers that the institution is simply a front for much more darker, dangerous things. Since discovering her blood is part of the cure for the werewolves, Jessie is in danger from those who would benefit from creating werewolf soldiers. The only thing protecting her is Derek and his need to use her to spy on the Rusakova's against her will. But new developments arise quickly, and as her father fights to gain her freedom, in desperation, Pietr makes a deal with the dangerous leader of the mafia, to free both Jessie and his mother, forcing him into actions that he believes Jessie will never forgive. After a brutal firefight, they manage to free the Rusakova's mother, but time is short as her werewolf genetic code is advancing her short life span. There is no time for relaxing, as Jessie is still in danger and Pietr still has to fulfill his promise to the mafia.

  4. Besides Pietr (who is fresh in my mind because I just finished Secrets And Shadows)I would have to say Sam From The Mercy Falls Series By Maggie Stiefvater. Both wolves are so believable that they have caused me to love them as much as I love Vampires.

  6. Hmm difficult question to answer, I love my weres almost as much as I love my vamps. I would have to pick Alcide, from True Blood both the books and TV show. I know this isn't a YA series , but Alcide really makes me want to howl and run with the pack! :-)
