Sisters Red:
Scarlett March lives to hunt the Fenris-- the werewolves that took her eye when she was defending her sister Rosie from a brutal attack. Armed with a razor-sharp hatchet and blood-red cloak, Scarlett is an expert at luring and slaying the wolves. She's determined to protect other young girls from a grisly death, and her raging heart will not rest until every single wolf is dead.
Rosie March once felt her bond with her sister was unbreakable. Owing Scarlett her life, Rosie hunts fiercely alongside her. Now Rosie dreams of a life beyond the wolves and finds herself drawn to Silas, a young woodsman who is deadly with an ax-- but loving him means betraying her sister and has the potential to destroy all they've worked for.
I loved this book from start to finish with its non-stop action and the romance woven through out! Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce is told through the perspective of both Scarlett and Rosie, two sisters who are the sole survivors of a Fenris (werewolf) attack that left Scarlett terribly scarred. Rosie is younger than Scarlett by two years and is struggling to find a place for herself in her sister's world of hunting. Although Rosie believes that they do have a certain responsibility for hunting the Fenris because they have knowledge of their existence, she is not quite ready to follow in Scarlett's footsteps and let the hunt consume her life. Rosie has difficulties stepping out from beneath Scarlett's shadow until their old friend and hunting partner, Silas, returns to their small town. Silas finds himself drawn to Rosie, but they fight their attraction because Rosie believes she owes Scarlett her life and devotion because of Scarlett's sacrifice to save Rosie when they were children. The Fenris attacks are multiplying so the three travel to the big city to hunt where they discover that there is something very special about Silas and the Fenris turn the hunt around on the sisters and Silas. Unable to hide their feelings any longer Rosie and Silas no longer fight to be apart, but fight to stay together, and when Rosie is kidnapped to be used as bait by the Fenris, Scarlett can't deny that Silas' feelings for her baby sister are genuine and deep. Move over Little Red Riding Hood, the March sisters now wear the red cloaks!
Well now I just have to read it ;)
