The Goddess Inheritance by Aimée Carter

The Goddess Inheritance:
Love or life.
Henry or their child.
The end of her family or the end of the world.
Kate must choose.

During nine months of captivity, Kate Winters has survived a jealous goddess, a vengeful Titan and a pregnancy she never asked for. Now the Queen of the Gods wants her unborn child, and Kate can't stop her--until Cronus offers a deal.

In exchange for her loyalty and devotion, the King of the Titans will spare humanity and let Kate keep her child. Yet even if Kate agrees, he'll destroy Henry, her mother and the rest of the council. And if she refuses, Cronus will tear the world apart until every last god and mortal is dead.

With the fate of everyone she loves resting on her shoulders, Kate must do the impossible: find a way to defeat the most powerful being in existence, even if it costs her everything.

Even if it costs her eternity.

Aimée Carter finished off this trilogy with an action-packed and heart wrenching adventure. Every moment of The Goddess Test series we followed the strong-willed Kate as she discovered a whole new world and her unyielding desire to be with Henry. I truly enjoyed Kate’s character in this book, I found that she re-discovered her strength and wasn’t so wishy-washy about her decisions. I also managed to fall a little bit in love with Henry this time. And the ending was almost the perfect happily-ever-after, with deaths on both sides and a little bit of foreshadowing into a new series.

The Goddess Inheritance picks up nine months after the ending of the second book. Without Henry’s knowledge, Kate has been held captive during the entire length of her pregnancy. And as the time draws near, Cronus offers her a deal she cannot refuse: Rule by his side and he will ensure the life of her child. When Henry discovers the truth and rescues Kate, they are forced to leave their son behind under the care of Ava, as she works undercover in hopes of saving the life of her husband, carrying Cronus’ secrets and battle plans back to the Council. Henry becomes mortally wounded and when it looks like he will not survive, Kate desperately seeks out Rhea, the Titan wife of Cronus. But although Rhea will not participate in the war, she does heal Henry to give them a fighting chance. As the final battle approaches, Kate must use all of her wiles to ensure that Henry will come back to her, and that her son will forever be safe.
