My Book Boyfriend is a weekly meme hosted by Missie of The Unread Reader, in which we swoon over boys in books!
(I--as in me, Amy--don't like to use commercial photos, I like to use the authors' descriptions and my imagination.)
Rath Roiben Rye
Book: Tithe by Holly Black
Series: The Modern Faerie Tales
A faerie and currently a soldier of the Unseelie Court, who later becomes its leader. Long pewter hair that frames a face that was long and full of sharp angles. Long limbed and tall for a faerie, beautiful in a way that makes your breath catch. Eyes that shine like mercury, fierce and passionate; he is someone you do not want to mess with. Loyal and protective to those he cares for, he's also willing to sacrifice his happiness to ensure their survival.
Quotes:
She looked tired, he realized. He knew little of what her life was like before he had made a mess of it. With a grimace he remembered the ripped shirt that she had ripped further to bind his wound. "At least we think we know something of your world. I do not, however, know near as much as I ought about you."
"You shouldn't," he said automatically. Nevertheless, he found himself no longer wanting to punish her for her faith in him. Instead he found himself wanting to be worthy of it. He wanted to be the knight he had once been. Just for a moment.
My sister has read this whole series and loved it so I'm gonna have to ask her about Rath. He sounds very noble.
