Friday 56...Darkfever (28)

The book today: Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning

Oh not in some extra sensory way--I don't believe in that kind of stuff--but in the way of a man who scrutinizes people, gathers their tiniest gestures and expressions, and measures them.

The Friday 56 idea came from… The Bookoholic Zone

The Rules:

* Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
* Turn to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of this blog.
* Post a link along with your post back to this blog.
* Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

  1. Here are my sentences, from "Rain Dance," a book about friendship, women and opposing points of view: [[We kept our discussions on surface stuff and rarely shared any deep thoughts. We held opposing political views and chose not to talk about them.]]

    I don't know about you, but I disagree with some of my women friends about important topics all the time: politics, abortion, probable cause and the death penalty! Nice to see friendships between women promoted and backed and celebrated. The book shows, in many ways, that abortion is personal as well as political.
