Wednesday Random Recommendation (26)

Moon Called:
Werewolves can be dangerous if you get in their way, but they'll leave you alone if you are careful. They are very good at hiding their natures from the human population, but I'm not human. I know them when I meet them, and they know me, too.

Mercy Thompson's sexy next-door neighbor is a werewolf.

She's tinkering with a VW bus at her mechanic shop that happens to belong to a vampire.

But then, Mercy Thompson is not exactly normal herself ... and her connection to the world of things that go bump in the night is about to get her into a whole lot of trouble.

Patricia Briggs was my second foray into the world of Urban Fantasy and now I find myself searching that section of the bookstore every time I visit. I love the Mercy Thompson series and am dying to read River Marked, I think that is why this books has been on my mind lately. Mercy is a coyote shifter and in her world you run into all kinds of supernatural beings; werewolves, vampires, witches and the fae. The relationship between Mercy and her werewolf neighbor, Adam, grows as the series progresses, but I loved him from the very first book. It’s Mercy’s nature to want to help others and she oft times finds herself getting into trouble as she sticks her nose in places where is usually doesn’t belong.

I invite and welcome anyone interested in participating to post their own "Random Recommendation" (original post) on their blog (and include a link back to this blog) and join in the fun! Some books might not be very recent reads, but I hope that just helps these (sometimes forgotten) books earn a spot on your own bookshelf!
