My Book Boyfriend (83)

My Book Boyfriend is a weekly meme hosted by Missie of The Unread Reader and co-hosted by Lesley of My Keeper Shelf, in which we swoon over boys in books!
(I--as in me, Amy--don't like to use commercial photos, I like to use the authors' descriptions and my imagination.)

Weston Larson
Book: Penitence by Jennifer Laurens
Series: Heavenly

A tall, All-American- teenage guy with a knock-out grin; a casual style of tight tee shirts skimming every hard curve of his chest, back and arms, while jeans hug his built legs. Brown eyes, dark curly hair and a deep masculine, coffee and cream voice. He’s quarterback of his high school football team, and considered a player and the "catch of the school."  But a supernatural incident changes him, and the way he sees the world.

Quotes:

Weston tossed a deep red ball from one strong palm to another, slowly coming towards me. “You don’t know how to throw, Zoe.” He came to a dead stop when the cold marble ball was between our chests. My heart pattered. “Let me show you.”

He swept around me, wrapped one solid-as-steel arm around my left, the other whipped the marble ball to breast level as if it were nothing more than a fluffy pom-pom. His face was close to mine, I jerked my head to the side, sure his jaw would come into contact with my cheek.

I tilted my head. “What changed you?”

He scrubbed his hair with both hands, blew out a sigh, his skin flushing a soft pink. “You.”

My eyes widened. He nodded.

I didn’t care what he thought of me, so it didn’t matter what I said. “I was looking at your jaw and hands.” Such honesty had not been a part of Weston’s female relationships that was obvious. His eyes dilated, giving his surprise away. “What were you looking at?”

“Your lips.”

Pow. My heart thudded.

“You have the poutiest lips I’ve ever seen.”

“Pouty?” I snorted. “Like I look bratty?”

“Like you look kissable.”
