Month In Review: December

I thought I would save my December Month In Review until my 12 Days of Christmas event was over; plus the beginning of a new year is kind of a busy time for all of us. I’m also premiering my pretty new Month In Review logo, new year, new look! I’m also going to be getting a new header soon, and I’m super excited! Well...onto the books I read:

Books I read and their "Reading Chairs of Love" rating:
(For reviews, please go to "Books Read in 2013")

1. The Demon in Me by Michelle Rowen 5
A fun and unique story of demon possession, fast-paced with a great cast of characters.

2. The Rancher by Diana Palmer 3
Why can't I quit this author?

3. Something Wicked by Michelle Rowen 5
The second in the Living in Eden series, and this book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

4. Falling From Eternity by Megan Duncan 3
A love story that follows along the typical vampire story lines, and unfortunately it fell a little flat for me.

5. That Old Black Magic by Michelle Rowen 5
An incredible conclusion to the Living in Eden series, I loved all of the characters and would be interested to see more of some of the secondary characters.

6. Tattoo by Jennifer Lynn Barnes 3
Unfortunately this book was a little too slow paced for me, and I found the characters to be immature and hard to connect to. I did like the different cultural references and their strong ties to the fey.

7. Hourglass by Claudia Gray 5
By far my favorite of the series. I really connected with Bianca and Lucas in this book and I was truly affected by the emotions throughout.

8. Never to Sleep by Rachel Vincent 5
A short story that completely changed my opinion of a secondary character that I originally could not stand, and a great addition to the Soul Screamers series.

9. Afterlife by Claudia Gray 4
A great close to Lucas and Bianca's story, and now I'm really looking forward to reading Balthazar's book!

10. Fables: Werewolves of the Heartland by Bill Willingham 3
A graphic novel with amazing artwork and an interesting story, but not something that is really my style.
