My Book Boyfriend (76)

My Book Boyfriend is a weekly meme hosted by Missie of The Unread Reader, in which we swoon over boys in books!
(I--as in me, Amy--don't like to use commercial photos, I like to use the authors' descriptions and my imagination.)

Dante Malebranche
Book: Kiss of Crimson by Lara Adrian
Series: Midnight Breed

He is a Breed warrior, sworn to protect his kind and unknowing humans. Black hair, easily six and a half feet and two hundred fifty-plus pounds of heavy bone and solid muscle. His skin is decorated with an array of intricate tattoos. Straight black brows cut dark slashes over his eyes. His cheekbones are razor sharp, giving the slope of his face a lean, feral quality. His nose might have been perfect at one time, but the line of its bridge has a faint jag in it from an old break. His mouth is the only bit of softness on him. Wide and sensual, his mouth is profanely beautiful.

Quotes:

"You're a Breedmate. As of tonight, you are mine."

"I want to kiss you again, Tess."
"Why?"
He chuckled, low under his breath. "Why? Because you're beautiful, and because I want you. And I think you want me too."
Dante brought his free hand up to her face and gently stroked the line of her jaw. She felt like silk against his fingertips, as delicate as glass. He brushed his thumb across the dusky swell of her lips.
"God, Tess. I'm dying to taste you right now."

His gaze on hers, he gave a slight shrug, then stood and unfastened the button at his wasteband. When he started sliding the zipper down over his tattooed skin and the dark thatch of hair at his groin, Tess's cheeks warmed. God, after last night, she should have remembered that he wasn't a boxers or briefs kind of guy.

  1. Dante! I love Dante! Actually, I love this whole series. It's fangastic. But yes, Dante and Tess are one of my favorite couples. I think they way they meet is so fun, but I was biting my nails the whole time because it was kind of chaotic. LOL
