The Dark Divine by Bree Despain
The Dark Divine:
Grace Divine, daughter of the local pastor, always knew something terrible happened the night Daniel Kalbi disappeared—the night she found her brother Jude collapsed on the porch, covered in blood. But she has no idea what a truly monstrous secret that night really held. And when Daniel returns three years later, Grace can no longer deny her attraction to him, despite promising Jude she’ll stay away.
As Grace gets closer to Daniel, her actions stir the ancient evil Daniel unleashed that horrific night. Grace must discover the truth behind Jude and Daniel's dark secret . . . and the cure that can save the ones she loves. But she may have to lay down the ultimate sacrifice to do it—her soul.
Last night my poor 3 year old son woke us up because he was sick with a fever and upset belly. Thankfully he seems to be alright today, but after he got me up at 3am I couldn’t seem to fall back asleep and then I didn’t want to fall back asleep because I picked up The Dark Divine by Bree Despain to read and couldn’t put it down.
Bree’s vivid storytelling kept me so intrigued it was impossible for me to put the book down! When I first brought the book home with me I don’t know what I was expecting, but certainly not the amazing story that I got! I have loved werewolf lore for as long as I can remember and Bree definitely did NOT disappoint with her amazing story!
